The aim of the project was to involve citizens in the process of co-creating city policy. As part of the participatory activities, a meeting and workshop on civic budgeting were organized for residents, an information point was launched, and a campaign was organized in the local media, as well as directly among citizens.
As part of the task, free and open trainings and workshops were held for residents of Chorzów, during which the idea of participatory budgeting was presented, examples of good practices of budget implementation from previous years of budget activity were shared, and residents learned how the budget works in other cities.
Project results:
Regular support was also provided to residents who wanted to take part in the creation of the budget - in the information point anyone interested could get all the information about the civic budget and get advice on how to fill out an application.
Under the guidance of experts, residents were able to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to create their projects in order to fulfill the needs of the local community.

Project goal
The aim of the project was to spread the knowledge about civic budgeting, also known as participatory budgeting.Thanks to these activities, there has been an increase in satisfaction with public services. Residents and their organizations will now be able to contribute actively in resolving local problems.

The project was implemented in the months of April-July 2015 with the support of a small grant from the Chorzów Municipality.
