Projekt Be-com został zrealizowany przez pięć instytucji: cztery uczelnie wyższe – Uniwersytet Śląski w Katowicach (Polska), Kazimiero Simonoviciaus Universitetas (Litwa), Universita ta Malta oraz European University Cyprus oraz organizację pozarządową – Fundację Wiedzy i Dialogu Społecznego Agere Aude (Polska).
Zaangażowanie partnerów z kilku krajów, reprezentujących różne systemy edukacyjne pozwoliło na zebranie różnych doświadczeń, dzięki czemu dobre praktyki będą miały wymiar uniwersalny, europejski.
Projekt zakładał stworzenie platformy internetowej zawierającej zestawy narzędzi cyfrowych niezbędnych do skutecznej i bezpiecznej komunikacji
W projekcie testowane i wdrożone były innowacyjne praktyki w obszarze dydaktyki szkolnictwa wyższego. Grupami docelowymi projektu są nauczyciele akademiccy oraz studenci nauk humanistycznych i ścisłych zaangażowanych instytucji partnerskich. Obie grupy wskazują na potrzebę unowocześnienia metod nauczania i poprawy zarówno kompetencji cyfrowych, jak również komunikacyjnych.

Project goals
Main goal: Strengthening cooperation between 5 partner institutions in the field of communicative skills and increasing the internationalization of those involved through the development and distribution of new educational tools and the exchange of good practices.
Goals:
- Promoting the idea of using ICT and online educational resources in teaching at universities.
- Improve the quality of education and increase the knowledge of students from 4 European universities, participating in testing and evaluation.
- Equipping university teachers from 4 partner universities with modern teaching tools that are relevant to the needs of the modern labor market.
Activities and results
The project activities include the following blocks:
- collaborative work on four intellectual outputs (Digital Toolkit - Effective Communication in the 2.0 Era; Digital Toolkit - Secure Communication in the Web 2.0 Era; Handbook - How to Communicate on the Internet in the Web 2.0 Era ?; Educational Strategy Game.
- two 3-day short training programs improving the competence of university teachers.
-organizing dissemination events and conducting other information and promotional activities.
- project management.
The engagement of partners from several countries, representing different educational systems, will allow the gathering of different experiences, so that good practices will have a universal, European dimension.International cooperation will ensure the multicultural aspect of the exchange of good practices, taking into account the experience in the field of academic teaching from different parts of Europe.
